The most beautiful thing about the Mainradweg is the fact that despite its total length of 540 kilometres, it only has a difference in altitude of 90 metres. The tour from Würzburg to Karlstadt even has an altitude difference of only 17 metres. Perfect conditions for pleasure cycling and perfectly suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Cycling tour tips directly at the hotel
Plan route tours along the Main and its tributaries. Or start circular routes from our house to the numerous destinations in the immediate vicinity. But no matter which variant you choose. Don't forget to enjoy the wonderful nature of the Spessart and the Main region.
Cycle tour from Würzburg to Gemünden am Main
Stage on the Main cycle path, which ends at the Hotel Mainpromenade:
Würzburg (km 0) -> Erlabrunn (km 12.7) -> Zellingen (km 18) -> Himmelstadt (km 21.5) -> Mühlbach (km 27) -> Karlstadt am Main (km 28)
Experience sights such as the Old Main Bridge in Würzburg, the Oberzell Monastery in Zell am Main and the historic old town of Karlstadt. Let the scenery of the Mainfranken wine country pass you by as you ride along the Main through valleys and vineyards. In Karlstadt you reach the lower edge of the Spessart Nature Park and can enjoy a Franconian wine and original Franconian specialities at the Hotel Mainpromenade for refreshment.

Bicycle tour from Karlstadt to Bad Kissingen
This is the first stage of the Franconian Saale Cycle Route, which starts at the Mainpromenade Hotel:
Karlstadt (km 0) -> Gräfendorf (km 27.5) -> Hammelburg (km 44.5) -> Bad Kissingen (69 km).
After your stay at the Hotel Mainpromenade, you can continue your tour relaxed and rested. Via Gräfendorf you reach Hammelburg and visit the town fountain on the market square dating back to 1541 and Saaleck Castle, which was built as early as the 12th century. Then stroll through the spa town of Bad Kissingen, which impresses with regency and arcaded buildings in the classicist style. From here you have access to the Main-Werra cycle path and the Brendtal cycle path.
